This is a 4-Person Team Event - it will be a Shamble (every player hits a tee shot and the team decides which tee shot to use and every player players their own ball until it is holed.) 2 Best Balls of Foursome (Gross).

She captured her second win in April 2007 at the Ginn Open, again holding off Ochoa to capture the victory on the 72nd hole.

In 2007, Lincicome became a member of the U.S. Solheim Cup team for the first time. In singles play, she lost to Laura Davies. Years earlier, as a 12 year-old, Lincicome had carried the scoring sign for Davies at the JCPenney Classic LPGA event, leading Davies to good-naturedly refer to Lincicome as "Sign Girl."[2]

There are two very important words of the U.S. Kids Golf mission to help kids have fun learning to play golf.

The words are fun and play.

Our research into the development of young golfers has shown that when golf is no longer fun for kids, they lose interest. According to studies from the Positive Coaching Alliance, parents and coaches tend to become too technical too early with our kids. The trouble with golf is that it’s highly technical.

When kids 11 to 13 were surveyed and asked, “Why did you quit golf?” they were almost unanimous in their response: “It wasn’t fun anymore.” So how do we make it fun for kids—and keep it fun? As a baseball coach, I had some kids on my team who were striking out too much, and I noticed they weren’t keeping their eye on the ball. They’d come back to the dugout frustrated because they tried so hard and had not succeeded. But instead of being frustrated with them, I looked for something—anything—that they did to improve. If they fouled out, it was an improvement over missing the ball every time. If a batter just touches the ball, it’s an improvement. So I said, “Great! You watched the ball. You fouled it off.” Until that became a good thing. I watched the kids’ level of encouragement rise.

As coaches and parents, you’re in the midst of something very important. You can encourage your kids every time you’re out there to play and to have fun and encourage them for the improvement they show—even when the shots don’t go where they want them to. Over the long term, what’s really going to make our kids great is their joy for the game and the fun they have playing it. That is why U.S. Kids Golf exists. It's why we make clubs that are easier to swing and why we encourage parents to caddie for their kids. We want learning the game to be a fun experience full of special moments for kids and memories of fun with their families, coaches and friends.

Paul Azinger has been on the PGA Tour since 1982. He has twelve wins, including the 1993 PGA Championship. He has also had the opportunity to play on four US Ryder Cup teams. In 1993, Paul was on top of his game, but was diagnosed with cancer at the end of the season. After undergoing treatment, he successfully overcame the disease. He covers his battle with cancer and his golf career in his book, “Zinger.”

Paul is currently on a book tour for his new book titled, Cracking the Code: The Winning Ryder Cup Strategy: Make it Work for You. The book details the experiences of the 2008 Ryder Cup and the strategy employed to bring the cup back to American soil for the first time since 1999.

Paul has an iPhone app, Golfplan, that will help golfers of all skill levels improve their game and allow them to practice with a purpose. There are over 60 videos featuring quick drills.

Jhonattan Vegas, aka Jhonny Vegas, burst on to the PGA Tour scene in early 2011 with a victory in a playoff at the Bob Hope Classic.

Vegas played collegiately at the University of Texas and was born in Venezuela. He is playing in his first Masters this week.

Starting Wednesday, he will be writing a daily diary from Augusta for ESPN.com's readers.

ESPN.com: After playing practice rounds with Masters champions Angel Cabrera and Ben Crenshaw, what did you learn from them?

Vegas: To be able to play with two former champions is definitely something that helps. I learned a lot about the short game from Ben and gained a lot about the greens and how to play around the greens. Angel showed me how the power game plays around the course. They are two champions with two different types of games and have won with two completely different ways of playing golf.

ESPN.com: How many practice rounds did you play here before this week?

Vegas: I had a chance to come up here two weeks ago after Doral. I spent two days here playing the course and really starting to get a feel for the course. It really gave me time to develop my game plan for tournament week with time to prepare.

ESPN.com: What was the Par-3 Contest like, with your mom as your caddie?

Vegas: To have my mom on the bag was a lot of fun. The whole Par-3 experience is really great and something that is really part of what makes this week so special. Seeing fathers, mothers and kids out there on the Par-3 course makes for a fun experience.

ESPN.com: Can you explain what it was like driving down Magnolia Lane this week and playing through Amen Corner?

Vegas: Driving down Magnolia Lane two weeks ago was such a fun experience, but this week it is certainly a different experience. With all of the traffic on Washington Road and then just behind the gates, it is like a different world when you turn down Magnolia Lane. Amen Corner was so quiet when I was here before, but this week it has so much energy that is different from anywhere else I have ever played.

ESPN.com: What has been your favorite part of the week so far?

Vegas: So far this week & I think that just being here at the Masters and playing in my first major is the favorite part. I had a chance to come as a spectator once before, but to now be playing is a different feeling when you are inside the ropes. The entire experience to this point has been so amazing, as everyone at Augusta National looks out for every detail possible.

ESPN.com: Who is here with you this week?

Vegas: I have a lot of support here this week. My parents, my brother, my American family (Dick and Melissa Kemp), my instructors (Kevin Kirk and Franci Betancourt), my girlfriend, my caddie, my managers from Blue Giraffe, lifelong friends and other sponsors. We have a couple of houses and a large van to get everyone around Augusta! We have been able to have big dinners together and they have followed practice rounds and the Par-3. Everyone is sharing in the experience of this week, but they respect that I still have a job to do on the course. I have everyone who is part of Team Vegas here this week, and I know that they will be supporting me from outside the ropes every step of the way, as they always have.

What makes children’s golf clothes fashionable?

Kids are much more aware of styling than most people give them credit for. Just watch the cereal aisle in your local grocery store – some boxes appeal to some kids and some boxes appeal to all kids. Kris Tschetter- Mr. Hogan the Man I knew 1-15

Ben Hogan was perhaps the greatest golfer of all time, and he was also one of the most private. These are the Hogan stories that you’ve never heard, stories that unlock the mystery to who he was as a person.
As a collegiate golfer in the 1980’s, Kris Tschetter was fortunate enough to become a member at the prestigious Shady Oaks Country Club in Texas where Ben Hogan was a member. There was an unwritten rule at the club: don’t bother Mr. Hogan. However, 18-year-old Tschetter was unaware of the spell he held over the golf world when she first passed him in the halls of Shady Oaks. Maybe it was Tschetter’s work ethic, or maybe just her youthful enthusiasm, but Hogan noticed her practicing and offered to help her with her swing. Over time she penetrated the tough exterior of the golfer know as the “Hawk” and the “Wee Ice Mon” and a unique friendship began.

Gerry Hogan- Inventor of Nunchuk Shafts

Early Analysis - Gerry Hogan’s interest in shaft function was triggered some forty odd years ago when he first noticed that multiple steel shafts were bent at the point where the shaft tip exited the hosel. Importantly, he observed that virtually all the shafts were bent forward, seldom, if ever, were they bent backwards.

Had the bending been a result of impacting the earth or the ball then the bending would have been backwards, not forwards. Had the bending occurred as a result of impacting a solid mass, such as a tree branch, the bending would have been located at the site of the contact between shaft and branch and it would be rare that this occurred at the junction of hosel and shaft.

The point that struck Mr. Hogan most forcefully at the time was: if so many shafts were permanently bending in such a manner as to be so obvious, then all shafts must actually be flexing/ bending forward, to some degree in this area. This bending/flexing was occurring in the downswing while the shaft was attempting to recover structurally to a straight line. Perhaps no one else had ever given the matter thought and he decided to examine it!

Take a driver with a manufactured genuine loft of (say) 10 degrees, in the real world of shaft tip forward flexing what was it’s effective loft at and through impact after all of this bending had occurred prior to impact? As time passed, Mr. Hogan continued to experiment to determine the various influences on the clubhead/shaft relationship of the traditional shafts being offered in the marketplace.

Mr. Hogan took the approach that science is a wonderful tool, but every law and every rule from every possible aspect of science involved in the specific entity in question must be identified, understood, applied and satisfied before perfection can possibly be considered.

I started teaching golf over 26 years ago when video was not available for the average consumer. But then in 1985, when the first consumer VHS camcorder became available, I bought it. It was great to be able to view a golf swing for the first time with such clarity. Though shutter speeds were not quite fast enough to get a great stop action, it was the best that any consumer could buy. And I got some great videos of old stars like Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Payne Stewart, Fred Couples and more when they would visit the Hawaiian Open.

Being in Hawaii, I always thought it would be so great if I could actually see the best teachers of my era. Luckily, I got to see Bob Toski, then took lessons from Jimmy Ballard and I was hooked on learning from the best. I knew that I would really be better at my craft if I learned from others vs. trying to learn it all myself. But these guys were simply not as technical nor precise with their teaching as I thought they should be so I kept my eye out for someone better.

By the late 1980’s, Nick Faldo had begun to win. Denis Watson and Nick Price were also very good players. I thought, “wouldn’t it be great to learn from David Leadbetter?” So in 1990 I called their office and soon I was booked for his weekend retreat at Lake Nona. Spending two eight-hour days hitting golf balls, chipping and putting was a dream come true. I certainly learned a lot but after awhile I knew I just didn’t get it all. I didn’t get all the “secrets.”

Kelvin Miyahira has worked with several collegiate strength coaches and athletes at the University of Hawaii, University of Louisville, University of Nebraska, HPU, and Mt. San Antonio College. He has trained 100's of athletes, including Olympic hopefuls, from as young as 6 years old to adults in all sports from baseball, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, track, etc. Kelvin has products being used by the David Leadbetter Junior Golf Academy in Florida as well as many other golf academies across the US. and in Mexico/South America. My Philosophy

Ask anyone who knows Mark Evershed, especially his students, and the following words may be used to describe him: exceptional teacher, great player, inventor, motivator, relationship builder, inspiration, listener, and friend.
Those words are just the tip of the iceberg for the 2005 Canadian PGA Teaching Professional of the Year, who was judged on a wide array of criteria ranging from innovative teaching techniques to instructional articles, videos or promotion.

“I was very honoured when I received the phone call that I had won the Teacher of the Year award,” mentioned Evershed. “More now than ever, people are starting to recognize the importance of teaching and I am very excited to be a part of that.”

As a teacher, Evershed‘s philosophy relies on “long term relationships.” After studying the philosophies of greats such as Homer Kelly and Persey Boomer, Evershed created his own unique teaching style based on the premise that knowledge, rather than muscle memory, is the path to success and that a lack of success comes from incorrect understandings as opposed to lack of ability.

From that premise evolved Evershed’s theory on the golf swing called “T.G.S. Method to Better Golf”, a teaching system consisting of CDs, books and practice devices to help golfers understand and execute the swing.

By adopting his theory, he is confident that students will be successful if they understand the mechanics and sequence of the swing. Evershed has invested a considerable amount of time into teaching and documenting his teaching philosophies. ST. ANDREWS, Scotland -- Lee Westwood says he will not be a regular on the PGA Tour in the United States next year, meaning Tiger Woods' anticipated successor as the top-ranked golfer will be based on the European Tour.

The 37-year-old Englishman said Wednesday that he will put his family first in 2011, remaining based in Europe despite the millions more dollars he could earn competing for the FedEx Cup.

His only trips to America next year will be for the majors, World Golf Championships and occasional events that might help him prepare for those tournaments.

"I'm not taking my card up in the States," Westwood said as he prepared for Thursday's start of the Dunhill Links Championship.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Tour will see more of U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell next year.

McDowell confirmed Wednesday he will be taking up a PGA Tour card and competing for the FedEx Cup. However, the Northern Irishman also wants to compete for the European money list.

"I won't be playing as many events in America as, say, Luke Donald and Justin Rose, but I am taking up my card," he said. "I had one in 2006 but got injured early in that season, and now I want to give it a real try."

His Ryder Cup partner Rory McIlory said he will be cutting down his U.S. Tour appearances.

Westwood has a chance to end Woods' 278-week run as golf's top-ranked player by finishing first or second in the $5 million event on three coastline courses, including St. Andrews.

"Why would you take up membership in the States when you've been the most successful player in the world this year?" Westwood asked. "When you've come in second in two major championships you must be doing something right. Why not stick to the same schedule?"

Westwood was runner-up in the Masters and the British Open and could become only the third player to reach No. 1 without having won a major.

"I don't want to get into a situation where I have to play events in America just to make up 15 needed for tour membership," he said. "The FedEx Cup sits right in the middle of the kids' summer holidays and I like going on holiday with them for a couple of weeks."

Westwood says he has been asked by American officials to join their tour, but after another successful Ryder Cup for Europe, he turned his focus to personal goals.

"As of Monday evening in Wales I became an individual again, and I do what's right for Lee Westwood now," he said.

Woods will not compete until November when he visits China for the HSBC World Championship and Melbourne for the Australian Masters.

Choosing to play more in Europe than America in 2011 will make it more difficult for Westwood to remain No. 1 because for most weeks of the year the PGA Tour events carry more ranking points.

The Dunhill Links is an exception to that rule, with eight other members of the European Ryder Cup team taking part, including McDowell, McIlroy, Martin Kaymer, Padraig Harrington, Ross Fisher, Peter Hanson, Edoardo Molinari and captain Colin Montgomerie.
