Paul Azinger has been on the PGA Tour since 1982. He has twelve wins, including the 1993 PGA Championship. He has also had the opportunity to play on four US Ryder Cup teams. In 1993, Paul was on top of his game, but was diagnosed with cancer at the end of the season. After undergoing treatment, he successfully overcame the disease. He covers his battle with cancer and his golf career in his book, “Zinger.”
Paul is currently on a book tour for his new book titled, Cracking the Code: The Winning Ryder Cup Strategy: Make it Work for You. The book details the experiences of the 2008 Ryder Cup and the strategy employed to bring the cup back to American soil for the first time since 1999.
Paul has an iPhone app, Golfplan, that will help golfers of all skill levels improve their game and allow them to practice with a purpose. There are over 60 videos featuring quick drills.
As an avid poker player, he was invited to play in the World Series of Poker main events in 2006 and 2008. He also enjoys fishing while at home.
Paul resides in Bradenton, Florida with his wife Toni.
